A few things worth knowing
Sun Life, Manulife, and Canada Life (formerly Great-West Life) are among the most common employer plans and are all covered.
Medavie Blue Cross covers federal government employees including Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP, and Veterans Affairs Canada. Direct billing is available for all three.
Green Shield covers several group plans including SSQ Insurance, MEDIC Construction, and Empire Life.
Alberta Blue Cross, Desjardins, Industrial Alliance, Equitable Life, Johnson Inc, Johnston Group, GroupHEALTH, GroupSource, ClaimSecure, Cowan, Coughlin and Associates, GMS Carrier 49/50, BPA, CINUP, Chamber of Commerce Group Insurance, LiUNA Local 183/506, Manion, Maximum Benefit, People Corporation, RWAM, TELUS AdjudiCare, UV Insurance, and Union Benefits are also accepted.
